Parkfield’s Wraparound Provision

At Parkfield Community  School, we offer wrap around care from 8:00am until 5:30pm. Our wrap around provision is available for all children from Reception through to Year 6.

Our wrap around care runs in two parts:

Breakfast Club provision: 8:00am – 8.30am

After School Care provision: 3.30pm-5:30pm (12:30pm-3:30pm Fridays)

Our aim is to provide

  • Quality childcare for children aged 4–11;
  • An environment where children can engage in a comfortable, safe and child centred setting;
  • Care that is organised around the individual needs of the children;
  • A programme of activities;
  • Activities that allow independence and choice;
  • Staff who possess the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to ensure that the well-being of the children is paramount.

All the staff who work within our provisions also work within the school environment too. We endeavour to create a happy, safe and secure environment that delivers an excellent standard of care.

Breakfast Club Provision

Our Breakfast Club provision runs Monday-Friday (term-time only). We provide a safe and enjoyable start to the day, which includes a choice of breakfast and drinks. There are also a range of activities on offer before the school day begins. At the end of the session, children are dropped off at their classroom, ready to start the day.

After School Care Provision

After School Care provision runs Monday-Friday (term-time only). Sessions run form 3:30 until 5:30 and 12:30-3:30 on  Friday, however children can be collected at any point during this session. Children attending will be collected at the end of the day and will be taken to this provision, if they are registered to do so. If your child is attending an afterschool club such as art, they will be taken to join the provision when their club has finished. Children will be offered toast and a drink. If parents wish to provide additional snacks for their children they are welcome to do so. Please note though that these must however be nut free.

After School Care provision is a fun, nurturing environment with a range of indoor and outdoor activities tailored to the needs of the children. Indoor activities include: games, technology, relaxation, reading, arts and crafts, physical education activities and homework support.

Mrs Khatoon and Mrs Farooq will usually run our after-school provision.

Parents can collect their children from this provision by visiting the main school office. There is a specific bell located here for the after-school provision. Alternatively, please use the wrap-around provision telephone number (located at the top of this page).
