Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to Parkfield Community School's website. I am very proud to be the Head of School at Parkfield where you will find dedicated and skilled teachers, happy, successful and enthusiastic children alongside supportive and proud parents.

Parkfield Community School is a proud, founding member of the Excelsior Academy chain which drives equality, aspiration and innovation through all its pupils, all its staff in all its schools.

On site, we are fortunate to have our very own Maths Academy, English Academy, a very well-resourced library, a computer suite, two large halls, a CPD centre, a large outdoor playground, an allotment, our own sports arena, our own TV studio and Podcasting Suite and we are one of the first primary schools in the country to have a dedicated STEM Lab.

At Parkfield, equality is very important to us and we feel that every child should feel safe, happy and confident, achieving successfully within a vibrant and stimulating community. We explore and celebrate differences and diversity through our 'No Outsiders' approach. This ensures that everybody feels welcome and valued in line with the 2010 Equality Act, whatever their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

This is further supported through Parkfield being a UNICEF Rights Respecting Level 2 School- the first in Birmingham. Following our recent Ofsted visit and report in October 2023, we are hugely proud that Parkfield Community School was recognised as continuing to be an ‘Outstanding’ primary school in all categories.  Please click here to see our report.

Please explore our website, especially the About the School section, where you will see a 2 minute video about our school by our CEO, Hazel Pulley. We hope you find everything that you are looking for and that what you see and read will give you an insight into what makes Parkfield such a wonderful school for pupils to attend, parents to work with, and for our staff to work at.

If you wish to see the school working during the day, please contact the office and our friendly staff will arrange a tour with one of our senior leaders or myself.
